Yes. There was an issue with the VAT. Even though it was deducted at source (ebay), the local customs had me pay VAT again due to the fact that the seller was not registered for VAT in Europe.
The vendor was notified and they immediately refunded the additional cost without any fuss. All ok now, notwithstanding the unnecessary stress with customs.
