I used this to replace the cord on the Senneiser HD201 headset...... you DO have to be good at soldering. It worked a treat although the lead was a wee bit shorter I cut the bit off where the lead split and separates, this shortens the length a little, then I used heatshrink sleeving over the split 'V'.
Do NOTE:
This is NOT copper wire you need to 'tin' the ends before soldering AND keep the coloured wires separated, the ground (common) being Gold in colour.
