Asked if the oven thermostat worked normally before making the purchase. Seller said it worked normally and that he had tested it to confirm. Thermostat does not maintain a pilot light big enough to run the oven at lower temps. Attempted to reconcile with the seller and the seller didn't respond. The thermostat does allow the oven to operate at higher temperatures. Before changing the thermostat, the oven didn't operate at all. So it's better than nothing for an old RV oven.
