Since there were no pictures of the boards available beforehand I can't be sure if the mold on both the Westeros and Essos board were there from the beginning or as a result of the transportation in possibly humid conditions inside the cargo container. Bottomline, aside from some mold that could be removed mechanicly, the game in total is in good condition.
