The item arrived in good time, undamaged and without any apparent defects. I have no prior experience with a lens of this type, so I can't compare this lens' performance apples-to-apples. I bought it to use as an ordinary magnifier, at which it excels. I'm not qualified to judge its suitability for ophthalmoscopy.
