The packing used to ship the player was definitely inadequate for the item being shipped. The package was damaged and I was totally surprised that the player would operate, but to my surprise it worked perfectly. I think it would be a good idea to mention that the cd player worked properly instead of noting that cd player was tested. Again, these are just suggestions. The price i ended up playing for the cd player was awesome.
