The box was somewhat difficult to open because it's not your typical box and it was hard to find a seam to carefully cut open with my razor knife. However, I guess that's what it takes to insure the items aren't damaged during shipping. Having the shafts in the shipping tubes was probably sufficient and an excellent choice.
