Beautiful. Each color is powder from a stone such as sapphire, malachite etc..it is NOT paint. This a hand made article. When I was in India, I saw how they were making these beautiful items and how the colors were made from the actual stone. These are unique pieces. You can put a light underneath it and all the colors, especially the orange one, become brighter! It is absolutely gorgeous!
