What a surprise! Once plugged in and connected, the clamps open automatically to accept the phone. Easy release button. One drawback is that any instructions are in Chinese. Thanks to google translate I was able to read everything and watch the short video. Easy to install and very firmly held in position. Another criticism- better so it can’t be shaken around. One of the lugs that accepts the ball and screw was broken, so I had to hold it in place while the screw was tightened.
