These are fine for a flashlight. But in a radio, they can cause a bit of noise. That's especially noticeable on medium wave. There is a circuit in the battery that generates a some RF. Strong stations are not affected, weak station are a bit. I wish I had a spectrum analyzer to see better what's going on.
