Seller notes: “Firstly, one of the "feet" pieces of the plinth has detached (the piece shown in image 19) at the ... “Firstly, one of the "feet" pieces of the plinth has detached (the piece shown in image 19) at the point where it was originally glued to the ceramic base (shown in the images and discussed in the video). Secondly, there are some chips to the ceramic; this is mostly at the top of the plinth just below the point of attachment to the bust. The most important example of this is at one of the corners at the back of the plinth; this is shown in close-up in image 15. Thirdly, there is some fraying and damage to the (what looks like) leather at the top of the plinth on the back; this is shown in the video and also in image 14. Fourthly, if you rotate the figure (turn it upside down for example) then you will hear a rattling sound. So, perhaps there is a loose bolt internally. However, the brass bust does seem to be securely attached to the ceramic base. Otherwise there is generally moderate wear consistent with a vintage piece of this nature, and this can be seen in the images.”
