    This is a fantastic piece of kit which has been meticulously designed and built by someone who knows, and enjoys, what they are doing. I bought it to check for unwanted invisible radiation from laser diodes, but I can see it being useful for loads of things, including just having a bit of fun as it's amazing what you can discover and learn from a spectrograph.

    The item was adequate but was quite expensive for what was essentially a cardboard tube with some optics, and I was unable to download the recommended software. Having said that, the optics did seem to be of reasonable quality and I was able to take a signal out from the device to the computer so I was able to write my own software.
