After going through a couple bands, I knew it was time to put a luxury strap on a luxury watch. These lovely french straps fit the part -- I was impressed with the 8 tests these Rochet must pass, so looking forward to strap longevity! Was hoping spring bars were included...but still had two stainless steel bars in my parts drawer, so on they went. Hoping for a long wear, as the strap has a nice feel to the leather.

Overall, I have to say I wasn’t terribly impressed by the quality of the strap. The construction seems good, but the materials not so much. While the leather looks nice from the photos, it is thin corrected grain and doesn’t present as well in person. The areas where it bends immediately form strange wrinkles where the backing separates, and I don’t expect it to look good for a long time. The backing material is some kind of plastic or hard rubber, and puts of a strong chemical smell.
