The issue is the quality of the plastic used is cheap and thin, the bags feel like they'll shatter if hit hard enough. But they do function (open, close, lock, attach/detach) it's just hard to get around the poor quality of all the plastic. Also one of the two saddlebags looks like it had been used already, I opened the package and it had a scratch on the plastic
