It works and fits exactly in place of the original. This aftermarket vacuum pod is currently the only option to keep a mechanical vacuum pump system operating on 6.2L diesels. Without it, trucks with a TH400 transmission don't shift properly and trucks with A/C don't have heat/cool controls.
