This 2014 fourth full-length album from the Irish bevy will immediately appeal to fans of friends and countrymen Primordial (the members of MM actual serving on occasion as live musicians for Primordial). Metal Crypt calls Damned When Dead, "visceral and heavy." Metal Temple says the album, "solidifies Mael Mordha as an ever-growing entity in doom metal circles." Founded in 1998, the band's unique fusion of traditional Irish folk and doom metal has been celebrated by fans and media alike. The band views their music as a conduit between the physical and spiritual worlds, providing a dark and epic soundtrack to historical and mythological tales of their ancestors. Ghost Cult Mag says of the concept album, "history lessons have never sounded quite so good."
