      Perhapse it's me, but I thought the DIN 'male' plug was the one with the pins on that go into the socket ( which is normally the side of the connection mounted on the chassis). The DIN connection on this is a trailing SOCKET. I shall keep it anyway, although what I thought I was buying according to the description was phono plugs (male) to a DIN plug (MALE)
