It does work, but that is about all I can say. The advertised gain figure is laughable. Even huge cellular base station antennas don't have anywhere near that gain. Given its size, I would estimate 2.5dBi at most, and almost all of that is lost in those tiny cables. It is better than nothing, but that is about all.
