Whirlpool changed the plug in the back of the freezer but didn't change the plug on the ice maker to match and as far as I know never will. Talk about a brain fart on the part of Whirlpool. This fit and worked perfectly, so if you find your self in a similar situation this will cure your headache.

I appreciate the nice words, and yes, Whirlpool actually did everyone a favor by messing up with their harness, so I could design this to allow everyone to use their old ice maker and save them over $100 they want for selling you a new one, by changing the connector in the freezer! Not very kind of Whirlpool and not very recycle minded of them either!I designed this to make sure everyone could keep their old ice maker!Thxx, Mike

The ad specifically states there's NO ice bin that comes with it in bold blue in the description as well as NO bin is shown in the pics of the ice maker kit being sold.The installation instruction sheet is included w/ /ice maker/harness kit & written at 6th grade level for all to easily install. Please Read as everyone else does before purchasing & after receiving it. If you have questions message me, I can assist in installation.
