Instrument appearance is as described. Out of the box the instrument is not "powerful" but due to the shipment with the bridge down the sound post has definitely shifted. To their credit the bridge was relatively well fitted, but if you order from them you will likely need to have the soundpost adjusted by your local luthier. Instrument is beautiful, and once appropriately set up, good for most any high school student.

Wow! The violin exceeded my expectations.. As others have observed it sounds like an instrument easily 5x the price. The tone, response and resonance all the way up the fingerboard are remarkable. This is my 2nd instrument from this workshop, the previous a viola that dounds fabulous which inspired me to give them another shot. I will be purchasing more to add to my collectionin the future and would happily recommend to anyone. Thanks!
