The irrigation controller was stamped with manufacturing date Sept. 2012 but was sold as "new" in June 2024. The controller itself appears to be unused, so I guess it could be "close-to-new", but I haven't used it yet to confirm. User manuals had handwritten names written on them. The box was dirty with heavy stains on the bottom. The main thing is that the controller hopefully will work, but a truly new item wouldn't be questioned. Also, this was shipped out 4 days after I paid for it.
