La dernière feuille (p. 15-16) présente un petit manque au niveau du bord supérieur, sans atteinte au texte, et une déchirure plus importante avec manque au niveau inférieur avec perte d'un petit morceau de texte, qu'il est néanmoins possible de rétablir par déduction (les manques rétablis sont entre crochets) : "Brown descendit sur l'aérodrome et se précipita avec Jim au bureau [de]s départs. Là, il apprit qu'un avion transa[tlanti]que appartenant à un certain Monsieur no[mmé] Goldstein, avait pris l'air après avoir fai[t le plei]n de carburant.
