The laptop for the most part was fine, but it didn't mention that the original USB-C port was dead. Either because they couldn't test it, or because it was damaged during shipping. This renders a few laptops (like this Thinkpad) very vulnerable, as this was caused by the Thunderbolt issue. If I didn't step in and fix it (by updating the BIOS) the other USB-C would most likely also die with a few use, which would force me to swap the entire motherboard.
