    I tried bulbs from two different manufacturers, and both were difficult to fit. The Duracell bulb wouldn't fit at all, whilst the Philips bulb was just about OK, so I inserted and removed the Philips bulb a few times, and then the Duracell bulb started to fit (though it still wasn't great). Removing the bulbs was sometimes *very* difficult. Then one of the sockets cracked, with no significant force applied to it.
