Quote from listing "Premium grade laminated carbon for long life (not cheaper block carbon that causes early burn out)". I can confirm this is the case. I bought a much cheaper pair of brushes elsewhere, which, despite 'breaking in', overheated, melted their plastic holders, stank the place out and then jammed in the holder and stopped the motor from working again. I replaced them with this pair which I also 'broke in' and they have been excellent. I recommend these without hesitation.
