Diamonds are large and the kerf is 3 to 4mm. This removes a lot of material quickly, but is best for steel over 3mm. I found myself returning to 1mm normal disks for speed of cut and a straighter and less jagged finish. This diamond disc has the advantage of not reducing in diameter, not generating as much dust and is great on its edge as a grinder for cleaning up welds etc., but too coarse for thin sheets. I have another disc with smaller diamonds I find more useful.
