While exceedingly annoying and requiring at least one adapter to get it to mount where I want it to go (plus some other hardware so it would fit), its not a complete waste and I can still make use of it. In the image provided (may not be visible to other users, IDK), I've placed an 80mm Noctua fan next to the radiator and the difference in screw hole spacing is quite apparent.
