I learned more about the changes that AF management made as their construction team got into a new gauge and the changes in available materials following the end of WW II. A C Gilbert was the right man for the change to S Gauge. I have 4 of these side dump cars which all need restoring especially the paint jobs. No primer was used and the red paint was too thin. It comes off too easy. Restoring can be fun.
