Square shaped and footed, made of hand carved solid basalt stone or volcanic rock. Cross-hatch pattern around exterior. Unmarked, unsigned, no labels or tags. New and unused, and purchased by us directly from the artisan in the town of San Nicolas Obispo, world famous for their Molcajetes. Please note: the feet are slightly uneven, and there was a wobble, which we didn't notice when we purchased it from the artisan. We have rectified this issue with two small felts. If you plan to use the molcajete rather than only display it, you will likely want to prep it for use with rice and salt - lots of instructions can be found on Youtube. Measures approximately 5.50 inches in diameter, and 3 inches tall. Weighs approximately 5 lbs. Will weigh between 7 and 8 lbs packaged.”
