È uguale alla macchina sulla quale lui aveva fatto il primo viaggio della sua vita, vent'anni prima. Con mamma Assunta, papà Amedeo e soprattutto lo zio Pinuccio. Indimenticabile, quella gita, come lo zio Pinuccio. "Nato gagà", come diceva sua sorella Assunta. Ma anche insuperabile cacciaballe, raccontava di essere mediatore d'affari per i grandi produttori di seta del comasco. Grazie ai suoi mirabolanti racconti, era in grado di affascinare qualunque femmina gli capitasse a tiro. Ma anche un po' misteriosa, quella gita: Ercole ne riuscirà a scoprire i retroscena solo vent'anni dopo, in quell'afosa domenica di fine agosto.
