I would like to add to my previous review, Yes, this is real amber. I'm not an expert, but it passes all the tests and some pieces have a very slight tackiness when they are warm. The aroma when burned is very nice and this could be used in an oil/resin diffuser. But there is cheaper stuff for that. My research says this is 12-25 million years old. It is a byproduct of coal mining which is common in western Sumatra because it is a subduction zone.
