It was carefully packaged in a box. The item itself was placed in plastic then wrapped in bubble wrap, and of course, lastly the box. Aside from a few stains of dirt or something brown, I would say it's like new. There is slight wear on the top cover metal magnet, but other than that I do not see any noticable wear or damage. I'm not sure if the thermometer and compass work or they're just for show. Overall I love it and have not seen anything with these characters before. Maybe it's rare ;)?
