Heidi sente nostalgia dei suoi monti e il signor Seseman la rispedisce nel villaggio natìo accompagnata dal fido domestico Sebastiano. Una volta al villaggio Heidi sente la nostalgia della sua amica Clara e il signor Seseman, con il benestare del medico, manda la figlia ammalata a trascorrere le vacanze a casa di Heidi. Grazie agli esercizi ginnici del nonno Clara ritrova l'uso degli arti e quando il signor Seseman va a trovare la figlia sui monti ha la grande sorpresa di vederla camminare. Clara torna a Francoforte per l'anno scolastico sognando un'altra estate sui monti con Heidi.
