Hampered by awkward gameplay, sluggish controls and boring battles, Dream TV forces one or two players to guide two characters through an alternate dimension filled with cavemen, falling rocks, mutant monsters, pits, skeletons and other enemies and obstacles while looking for nine puzzle pieces in each level. One-player games are especially irritating, since gamers must switch back and forth between controlling each character. When the characters get separated, semi-confusing split-screen action kicks into gear. There are a variety of weapons to brandish (including arrows, lasers, and axes) and vehicles to use (including hover boards, jet packs and a spaceship), the graphics have nice detail, and the cooperative gameplay and puzzle-solving elements show potential. However, the game is not much fun at all, and the music is annoyingly repetitive. The best thing about Dream TV is a special potion that lets one player hitch a ride in the other character's pocket.
