The seller's responsiveness to my problem was awesome. I bought the phone as a family backup which as an unlocked phone should have allowed a simple switch of sim cards to activate. Unfortunately, while there might be a way to use the phone it required more than the simple insertion of a sim card. We have multiple carriers so the phone needed to be totally unlocked.
