These tape recorders came with faulty belts. The one listed here is in FAR better condition than the first one I had which had to be returned a week after Christmas in 1972, when the belt in it failed. By this time, I had scratched up the metal speaker enclosure and was concerned it wouldn't be accepted back. The one sold by this seller is in BRAND NEW condition! Other than a deteriorated belt, there is NOTHING wrong with it. The sound seller was hearing in it is a working drive motor turning!
