One socket did need quite a bit of re-work as it was disintegrating inside. Even tho the chains pulled quite nicely, it was non-functional. Luckily I have a handy husband with a slew of additional parts. It is now on my estate sale find lamp & looks as if it was always part of it 👍🏻
