really lovely instrument at the price. sounds good so pickups can't be that bad either. Will be getting a proper set up at the local luthiers as there is a bit of string rattle but don't think it is anything to worry about. Finish is great with that lovely three tone sunburst nice and evenly done. Worth every penny

Pros: Excellent value for the price; with upgrades to Grover tuners, SD pickups; floating Wilk. bridge stays in tune well; alder body with flamed maple provides good tone and aesthetics. The Yamaha gig bag is better than expected. Nice low action. Neck is comfortable. Fretwork is good.
Cons: Factory box not included. Intonation at nut/bridge needed adjustment: Yamaha could have done better on the factory setup; but it's easily remedied.
