The carriage wasn't anchored allowing it to hit the side of the box in transit. Result: damage to the carriage rails and a top lid that won't close. Offered was a "damage in transit claim" (against UPS?) but I declined, keeping it for parts to repair a second machine in what would have been one in worse shape.
