The non-powered 6-inch car subwoofer transfers power from an external source via a single channel to deliver high-powered bass. That woofer material of this Pyle car subwoofer is paper with a cloth surround material. The Pyle PPA6 car subwoofer is a passive unit with a 30 oz magnet, Kapton voice coil, as well as a stamped steel basket. The one-way, 6-inch car subwoofer supplies 150 watts of RMS power and up to 400 watts of peak handling power. The sensitivity for this coaxial style of speaker is 88 dB with an impedance of 8 Ohms. Maximum frequency response for the Pyle car subwoofer is at 7 kHz while the minimum frequency response is at 60 Hz. The Pyle PPA6 car subwoofer is an individual stereo component designed to be part of a larger vehicle stereo system. The Pyle car subwoofer is non-enclosed and can be mounted in a freestanding box.
