    Contacted the manufacturer and a well known car enthusiast parts website. Both recommended this starter for my 460, 390flywheel, 460 bellhousing situation. It sounds grindy and disturbing to start, new power cable, clearances were checked good, tried spacer anyway and not any better. I have 184 tooth and says compatible. Embarrassing to start in public for a showcar. Starter has good power though for a moderate build and starter is smaller than OEM which is nice. Shipping was good!
