    I bought this for my son's 38th birthday. It was delivered within a week! He waited for his birthday to open it and called me when he was about to open it. He commented on how well the books were packaged to prevent damage, and then carefully opened each of the 2 volumes. He was blown away for how good a condition the books were for a 1901 edition and liked the pen & ink illustrations. From his comments I would say that the books were as described.
