Very sturdy and real leather. You will need to use a leather punch to put more holes in the straps to ensure a tighter fit on the shoulders and main closure on the top. I also used a leather conditioner as it was very dry. I used the same liquid conditioner I use on my saddles. Both of these suggestions took 15 minutes tops and made this good deal into a great deal.

This bag is amazing! Looks exactly as advertised. Two caveats: 1. "handmade" using a sewing machine which doesn't bother me; 2. the bag is easily scratched or marred even with a fingernail which doesn't bother me because the finish already is beautifully distressed. If anyone is thinking about buying this bag, stop thinking & just buy it!
