Ai sensi dell’art.5 del D.L.185/99 per la tutela dei consumatori, che detta le regole per la vendita a distanza, l’acquirente ha diritto di recedere dall’acquisto senza doverne specificare il motivo, entro e non oltre dieci giorni lavorativi dalla data del ricevimento della merce. In caso di oggetto guasto o difettoso, verranno rimborsate le effettive spese sostenute per restituire l'oggetto. Nel caso in cui l'acquirente non fosse più interessato all'oggetto, le spese di spedizione sono a carico del cliente come recita il D. lgs. 185/99 : “ il consumatore ha diritto di recesso senza alcuna penalità e le uniche spese a suo carico sono quelle relative alla restituzione del prodotto” La restituzione della la merce, in un idoneo imballo che ne tuteli l'integrità, deve essere fatta all’indirizzo riportato nell’inserzione entro e non oltre dieci giorni dal ricevimento.
