You have to use the cap. There is not rubber cover as you mention, only the cap with the insert. As I also mentioned, this is the older version. That is the reason for the price being higher. The quality of this aftershave is higher of those made nowadays.

Dermaline jars are not the best. Their seals always get stuck in the lid instead of sticking to the jar. it is a manufacturer's defect that has been going on for some time now. There are a few other brands that are having the same problem, such as Andes Nature since they use the same type of seal. I can guarantee the creams are brand new even though their seals are not the greatest in the market. They should use another type, not this hard seal type that does not stick well to the jars.
