This specific model coordinates with all the other detectors in the house and was randomly going off. Ultimately that stopped happening after I unplugged it from power and blew it out with compressed air. Bought these as back-ups since mine is from around 2005 and not readily available. Haven't installed them but are new so don't anticipate problems.
