Binding relatively tight & square, but spine cracked at title-page spread; corner-bumped, edgeworn, spotted, wrinkled/rippled at spine's top & tail & with pimple-like convex reverse ding on front board under "U." Illustrated (unsigned) Lynd Ward end pages contain stamped bookplate of former owner here & there. Bond/matte pages within in good shape, with usual age-toning/darkening, a few corner bends, minor spotting, smudging, etc. No annotations, marginalia, underlining, scribbles, etc., seen anywhere within, nor any major damage or flaws in way of clipped or missing pages, tape repairs, water or other liquid damage, large tears, etc. (note that I did not look at each & every page & may have missed something). Top edge smooth-cut & either colored gray or quite darkened/age-toned over time; side & bottom edges uncolored, with side rough-cut, bottom smoothish. No musty or smoky odor.”
