Henry Constable (died 1894) was Prebendary of Cork, and is best known for his works on Hell and the afterlife. This strange novella concerns the Rebellion of 1798, but still manages to include several discussions about the nature of eternal punishment for sin. Original gilt cloth hardback. Original endpapers. 68 pages. 8.75 inches by 5.75 inches. In very attractive condition, with some light bumping and wear (see pictures). Toning to leaves. Binding sound and square. Free of inscriptions. A rare book.”
