This is an unregulated, 555-driven, flyback converter with a Walton-Cockcroft multiplier to achieve the high output voltage. The output is therefore very noisy a d cannot support any significant load. This is not a problem for me but bear it in mind because you may need to modify it depending on how you intend to use it
