Seller notes: “Leatherette folder, lined in gilt, containing 2 Photographs - The larger of the 2, a Norman ... “Leatherette folder, lined in gilt, containing 2 Photographs - The larger of the 2, a Norman Rockwell photograph of Richard Nixon, measuring 8.75 x 10.25 inches (22 x 26cm) is inscribed by Nixon "Matt, old sport - Thanks! The was mighty nice of you - Richard M Nixon". The smaller, black and white photograph opposite is inscribed "Matt - from us all", shows a the Nixon family seated on a sofa, possibly in the Oval Office in the White House, and measures 6.5 x 4.5 inches (16.5 x 10.5cm). I am unsure as to who 'Matt' was, though I am guessing he was a family friend of the Nixons' given the inscriptions. Folder Size of 11 x 13 inches (28 x 33cm). Richard Milhous Nixon (January 9, 1913 – April 22, 1994) was the 37th president of the United States, serving from 1969 to 1974. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as a representative and senator from California and was the 36th vice president from 1953 to 1961 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower.”
